THE ROOF ROOM
In the rural Arab house, the roof has a unique functional and engineering importance. On hot summer days the roofs were used for sleeping and overlooking the alleys and neighbors' houses. The women of the village would dry fruits and vegetables on the roofs, while gossiping with their neighbors, and sometimes a venue for a heated argument. The Roof Room is an exclusive and romantic room intended for couples only. It is characterized by a unique arabesque tile floor, but the dominant element is the spectacular view from its arched windows: 290 degrees of the view of Ein Kerem and the Jerusalem mountains that is unparalleled. The Roof room enjoys a huge and private roof terrace with an unforgettable view of the sunset.
